Spotlight provides professional home inspection service. I used Spotlight twice because he conducted inspections on everything and gave detailed reports with lots of pictures. Based his reports, we are able to negotiate with sellers for a better price. Highly recommended Spotlight.

I could not be happier with my experience in hiring spotlight inspection. Mike is a very professional, kind, experienced inspector. Mike goes above and beyond and exceeded my expectations throughout this process of inspecting. He very easy to talk too and he puts himself in your shoes. I gotta say this guy is the real deal. He even talked to me on the phone after my inspection to see if I had any concerns, he answered all my questions and he explained everything in detail and answered any doubts I had. I would hire Mike again. He's down to earth, works hard, and was a great support for us as we navigated purchasing a home in New Orleans. He let me come along for the inspection ride and ask all the questions I needed to ask. He's personable and is very generous with his time. He's got good partners as well and his prices are good. Mike was an extreme pleasure to work with for our home inspection. Making one of the biggest purchases of our lives is a daunting task, but Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were prepared and armed with the knowledge we needed to make an informed offer and discussion on items that needed to be fixed for our house. Once complete we received a multi-page inspection report with all of his findings and recommendations. I was originally recommended to Mike by a friend, and he will be my go-to recommendation for everyone else.
He also helped coordinate the termite and plumbing inspection all in the same day which was a huge relief and no-hassle for me.

Mike was extremely knowledgeable, super responsive. And very helpful. He help me gather some important information about a property I was looking to buy an intern helped me find some leverage in order to assist with the pricing. So often there are issues that look below the surface that you would never recognize. Mike sent me a 64 page PDF with photos and detailed descriptions of what needed to be repaired or replaced. His services are worth every penny. Extremely fair pricing as well.

Because the reviews were so great, I wasn’t sure if this was something we could actually afford, but Mr. Mike’s services were actually cheaper than the company my realtor recommended. His customer service is awesome! He is still answering questions for me and my inspection was 3 days ago. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to give me an explanation so I can understand why he reported certain things. He was also very thorough and not at all rushed when inspecting.

Mike did an amazing job! I found him from the recommendation of a friend and was very happy with his professionalism and knowledge. He showed up early and was excited to start the inspection. My wife and I were so blessed by Mr. Mike. He really went beyond what was expected. We had a bit of a rough start with the weather and some other things but we persevered. Mr. Mike went through the entire house checking everything and I mean everything and after he was done sat on the floor with my wife and I and went through EVERYTHING he had found. I really can’t say anything else but thank you thank you. I can honestly say that our home inspection was to me the best part of our purchase process.

This was our first time getting a home inspection (from a distance). My wife and I were under contract to purchase a 2nd home out of state (we're in CA). Mike definitely took care of us (and in a timely manner). He was friendly (as is almost everyone I meet from New Orleans). I appreciate the thoroughness of the inspection done! The pictures of the areas described (included in the report) really gave a better perspective as to the work needed to be done.

First time getting a home inspection. Wasn't sure what to expect or how much I would have to come out of pocket having to get an inspection and video plumbing done. After constantly looking at different companies, reading reviews and a previous inspector not returning any calls/texts. Mike really came through on such short notice along with the pipe inspectors for the plumbing. He was friendly, polite, honest, and worked with me with what I needed to get done. Mike at Spotlight Home Inspection LLC did a phenomenal job inspecting our house. He was very thorough and included every issue in a very detailed report, even the things that are a non-issue to most people... If it wasn't exactly as it was supposed to be, he annotated it, listed potential consequences, corrective actions needed, and the piority (urgent or not). He then took the time to have several conversations over the phone with me to explain the findings that I thought were concerning, and gave some advice on how they should be addressed. He even explained how he'd fix them if it were a house he were buying. His prices are competitive, and was able to work with me on scheduling on short notice. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking to have an inspection done... Super nice guy!
